WELCOME!

The Manitoba Bull Test Station at Douglas, Manitoba is one of the largest bull testing stations on the map.
Owned and operated by the Manitoba Beef Cattle Performance Association Inc., the test station is a non-profit organization that has been in operation for over 40 years.
The goal of the Manitoba Beef Cattle Performance Association Inc. is to develop bulls and heifers to meet the needs of the ever changing cattle industry for both the purebred and commercial cattlemen.
Visitors are welcome all year round to view the facilities and talk to the staff about programs available.  During the test season visitors can get statistics on the bulls and heifers on site and look at quality livestock.

CHANGES FOR 2011 - 2012 TEST SEASON

Some major changes have been implemented for the upcoming test season.

  1. Starting this year ALL TEST Bulls and Heifers will be eligible for sale.  The data collected for Weight Per Day of Age (WDA) and Average Daily Gain (ADG) will no longer determine the sale eligibility but will still be published in our weight reports.  All Bulls and Heifers must pass a veterinarian evaluation (including semen, scrotal, structure, female palpation and pelvic measurements) to be qualified for the sale.
  2. SALE FLOOR PRICE has been increased from $1800 to $2000 for bulls.
  3. Consignors will be given the option to have thier Test Bulls fed a textured ration or a pelleted ration provided nominations are sent in by required date of September 23, 2011.  (These nominations need to be received to ensure there will be enough bulls to make the textured ration a viable option) 4.  CUSTOM FEED AVAILABLE, we will custome feed, background, condition, or develop heifers, steers, or bulls (including calves, yearlings and herd bulls)
