Elder Charolais Farms was established in 1991 when the Elder family decided to diversify their commercial cattle and grain operations. The farm is located 2 miles South and 2 1/2 miles West of the town of Coronach, and six miles off the Montana, US border.

The purebred operation consists of over 80 cows and a pen of bulls that they sell privately off the farm. Elder's have been consignors to the Alliance Sale in Yorkton and the Cypress Hills Breeders Sale in Moose Jaw for the last 4 years.
