HTA Charolais would like to welcome you to our website and extend to you an invitation to view our program.

Our program is built on over 45 years of selection for efficient cattle that perform in all environments. C-C, actual performance, EPD’s and good cow sense are used to produce a no nonsense product.

Harry & Joan Airey purchased the first Charolais heifers in 1972 and along with their family (Raymond, Lori-Anne and Shawn) worked as a team to run their purebred Charolais operation and grain farm.

In 2013, Shawn & Tanya took over the responsibilities of the HTA Charolais operation with the purchase of the herd from Harry & Joan. Their children mark the 5th generation to be on the farm.

Over the years Harry has served many times on the Manitoba Charolais Association, the Canadian Charolais Association, and for the Manitoba Performance Test Station. Shawn is also a member of the Manitoba Charolais Association Board of Directors and currently holds the position of Past President, having served 4 years as the President. Most recently Shawn was elected to the Canadian Charolais Board of Directors and sits on the Breed Improvement Committee.

We welcome you to view the herd at any time. We always look forward to visits from old friends and look forward to meeting new ones!!
