ROYAL MANITOBA WINTER FAIR INFORMATION
The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is well known for the world class equestrian events and attractions that draw large crowds, but the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair also has a very strong cattle component, which will be even more prominent this year.
The Cattle component of the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair starts early with the traditional Cattle Calcutta, March 28th at Heartland Livestock, Unit A, 329 12th Street North. Cattle will be displayed from 6PM to 7PM, at which point Calcutta bidding will begin. Individuals or groups are welcome to bid. Food and refreshments will be served from 6-7PM.
New classes, such as the Homecoming Showmanship have been added, and the ever popular Kirk Stierwalt will be returning once again to both judge and educate young cattle producers on the finer points of preparing an animal for a sale or show.
Deadline for producers to enter cattle is February 17th, 2010. Cattle must be on the fair grounds by 8PM Tuesday March 30th, and must be in the barns by 10AM March 31st.
