Rosso
Charolais
is located on the North side of Old Wive's Lake, South West of Moose Jaw,
Saskatchewan, Canada, along Highway #363.
The
family farm was homesteaded in 1911. As we move into the 21st Century,
Kevin's family are the 5th generation on the farm - which has alway been
a mixed operation.
In
the early 1980's we expanded our operation to include a small purebred
Charolais herd. This has now developed in to 120 breeding females along
with 100 commercial cows. We also have 25 purebred red and black Angus
cows.
We
believe "the cows have to work for you, not you for the cows."
Calving ability and structural soundness is important as they calve on
the early April grass.
Each
spring we have our bull sale along with White Cap Charolais. The bulls
we sell are coming two years of age at sale time, and the entire sale
able calf crop of that year. They have been selected for calving,
performance, structural soundness and testicles. We feed them
to grow and develop from the time of weaning to sale day!
The
coffee is always on, so feel free to stop by or give us a call for any
information.
